After a few of life’s lessons I reeled in the talk and heard Oregon calling my name. I had spent a few weeks in the Williamette Valley and vowed to come back again the next year to work crush. I returned for the harvest with Tahmiene Momtazi of Maysara Winery. She and I hit it off and began to plot my first vintage. So I packed my bags and headed west from my home in the South to take up a life on the West Coast making wine – more specifically Pinot Noir.
Jasper Sisco was my great grandfather’s name, and in the spirit of family, I will only source fruit from those I’ve broken bread with – growers I know, trust and respect – growers who share my values and sound agricultural practices. The inaugural vintage for Jasper Sisco will be sourced from Demeter-certified Biodynamic Momtazi Vineyard and produced under the guidance of Tahmiene Momtazi.
